Celebrity couple Victoria and David Beckham have invested in a full-floor penthouse in the One Thousand Museum, a brand-new condominium building in downtown Miami created by the late Zaha Hadid.
According to a release from the developers that Realtor received on Wednesday, the acquisition was officially concluded this week after being agreed upon a few months ago.
A representative for David Beckham stated in the announcement that "with the launch of Inter Miami CF (Club Internacional de Ftbol Miami), David and his team are spending significant amounts of time in Miami." We are thrilled to become a part of the community at One Thousand Museum because it is a very distinctive structure.
The agreement was negotiated through David Beckham's partnership and licensing business, Beckham Brand Limited. A request for additional commentary received no response from the company.
The 44-year-old former professional footballer from England, David Beckham, is currently the president of Inter Miami CF, who took on Los Angeles FC in their inaugural game on March 1. Victoria, his 45-year-old wife, once of the pop group Spice Girls, has her own clothing line.
The full-floor penthouse, which has more than 10,335 square feet of living space, is situated on a high floor of the 62-story structure. It includes six and a half bathrooms and five bedrooms.
The penthouse has a $20 million asking price. Since the sale hasn't yet been recorded in the property records, the sale price could not be calculated.
The building's development team, which is comprised of Louis Birdman, Gregg Covin, and Kevin Venger, declined to provide any other details, such as the floor on which the unit is situated.
The opulent structure's amenities include a rooftop helipad, a sky lounge for dining and special gatherings, an aquatic facility with an indoor lap pool, a wellness center, and a spa. It was completed in August 2019.
The development team stated in the release that "iconic design, sophisticated lifestyle, privacy and security are among the key factors driving our clients to make One Thousand Museum their Miami base." "We are confident that Mr. Beckham and his team will be content here."
The One Thousand Museum, created by Zaha Hadid Architects, opened its doors in 2013. On March 31, 2016, Hadid passed away.
According to Daniel de la Vega, president of ONE Sotheby's International Realty, which is overseeing the building's sales, "One Thousand Museum is one of the world's most revolutionary architectural masterpieces and is the most recognizable tower in Downtown Miami."
The deal was initially reported by The Sun.
